Polish Tribe

Hello Mr. Seykota,

Me and my friend wish to start a Trading Tribe in Poland.

Our approach to trading is very similar to yours.

Could we translate and repost your articles?
How "Tribes" work?

What we have to do to start a TT in Poland?
Thank you for raising these issues.

You may translate and repost my articles, with attribution.

You may start your own Tribe, without any requirements from me.

You might consider reading my book, The Trading Tribe, for ideas about how to proceed.

Climbing High and Looking Down

Hi Chief,

My system loads up positions during past 3 months and runs up 20%. Today when I look at my portfolio, I see system reporting the total open risk, which will bring down to -20% of the starting point my account.

And system still has more open risk budget to add more. I feel chilly. I recall when I was young, I like to climb high, then when I look down, I feel scared and heart beat fast, and I feel regret why I get to that high, and the same time I fell being drawn to even higher place. I feel my stomach churning and legs fatigue.

I feel some hard, stone like surface and shapes when I continue to let my system be itself.

Thanks,
Thank you for sharing your process.

Stock Trends

Hi, Ed!

I just wanted to ask you what criterias you use when you pick the stocks that make it to the chartbook?

Are you using any specific tools or system, or are you just looking for trending stocks in general?
Thank you for raising this issue.

The stock page issues automatically from a system that ranks stocks according to a composite of long, meduim and short-term trends.

Questions from Russia

Dear Mr. Seykota,

... I'm a member of the International Federation of Technical Analysis from Russia.

Now I'm working on a book for my Russian colleagues. May I ask you a few questions about trading on financial markets? I'm interested in following trend specifics. Your answers are very important to me.

Best Regards,
Thank you for raising the question about asking questions.

My answer: yes.

Over Trading

Hi ED, Happy Birthday.....

I am having trouble with the following:

1. over-trading.....brokerage is really affecting my bottom line.
2. trading discipline

interested to hear your thoughts...

Regards,
Thank you for raising this issue.

You might consider taking your feelings about <discipline> to Tribe.

RSVP

I send you my RSVP for your Birthday Bash with much enthusiasm.

I especially love the "self-entertainment" aspect in which all guests will have an opportunity to reveal themselves to each other.

I feel excitement about revealing myself, whereas before my exposure to your work and the Trading Tribe process I have no doubt that I would feel sheer terror, and possibly not even attend!

Can't wait to meet many old friends and new.  Thanks for the invitation, and please count me IN.

Your friend,
Thank you for sending your RSVP.

Netherlanders Heading to Texas

Hi Ed,

Hope you are well. Me and my friend ... (both from Holland) are making a road-trip through the USA, and we are wondering if you are in Texas. We talk a lot about you and the Trading Tribe, and it seems fun to us to drink a cup of coffee with you! Might be a good chance for you to practice your Dutch :)

All the best,
OK. Laat het me weten wanneer je aankomt in Texas.
