Leaps Options
Hello Ed,
Could there be or
have you ever had any problem with a leap option going beyond 1% - 100% or
more.
Are you aware of
any rules that restrict leap option gains?
|
1.
I do not know the problem to which you refer.
2.
Restrictions on gains are typically the self-restriction kind.

Remote Aha
Effect
Mr. Seykota,
I am a member of the great tribe in [City]. I am a much better receiver than
I am a sender.
I am frustrated
while in the hot seat and I feel that my tribe is frustrated.
In my personal life (during the 3 weeks between tribe meetings) I receive my
wife's feelings in my hopes of improving our relationship.
My wife sends many
inflammatory statements (drama) and I go with my feelings (slight knot in my
stomach area).
I realize that
this is when a larger group would benefit both of us but my wife scoffs at
the idea of joining.
I am wondering (and hoping) if my wife can get a "remote aha
effect" from my TTP sessions even though I am a poor sender in the
tribe.
I am thinking about where right livelihood will lead me in my relationship
with my wife. I feel fear but not to completion.
|
You
might consider using your feeling of hoping for improvement as an entry
point.
You
might also listen for some clues about your issues in your Wife's
remarks.
If
you don't like what she says, or feel like changing her, you might consider
taking those feelings to your Tribe as well.

positive intention
of
the underlying situation.

My Sensei
Quoted You
He said:
“There’s a
trader named Ed Seykota who teaches others to trade.
Seykota told one trader, 'Lose your ideas, not your money.' That’s good.
Losing your ideas is what Zen is about.”
Are you a Zen Master, Ed? |

Ed,
I like the fact that you like the idea of a workshop in or around London!

TTP and Bible
Dear Ed,
TTP encourages us experience feelings; Bible tells a lot of stories.
TTP follows SVO-p; while Bible says, "In the beginning, God created the
heaven and the earth."
TTP gives no advice, in the Bible there is Ten Commandments to advice us
what to do, what not to do.
TTP has no past or futures, just an evolving moment of Now. Bible has all
the past in history.
I am committed to experiencing my feelings with my family as a tribe even
though I find it hard.
I thank you Ed for the Trading Tribe Book.

Different
Trading Systems
for Diferent
Instruments
Sir I've built up a trading system for Index future and so far it has
performed exceedingly well but when I test it on other individual stock
futures it proves to be a failure.
What I'd like to
know is that does every individual security requires different parameters?
And is my system
robust?

Missing the
Breath Work
Dear Ed,
I am aggravated I missed the deadline on the Breathwork weekend. I have been
so busy with this ice cream truck, that I missed it on your website !
It was very strange but I was just thinking about Tahoe and looking at the
photos of the last Breathwork weekend earlier today and wanting to do
another and here it is on your site.
By the way, I received an offer and I may sell the ice cream truck it this
week for a little profit.
The last Breathwork was tough and hard work, but it really cleared up
some things for me. I think I need to clear some things up a bit more.
Anyway, I hope it brings you and all the enrollees closer to your chosen
journeys.

Typo in Book
On page 120 in your book, under the heading option #2 you say:
The trader takes the hot seat and locates his k-nots about the trades he is
willing to follow.
I understand TTP in a way where the trader locates his k-nots about the
trades he is UN-willing to follow. Is this a typo? Thank you for such
a great book.

Understanding
& Insight via TTP
Chief Ed,
My questions are:
1. Is "understanding" incidental to the TTP?
2. What are the essential differences between "understanding"
(generally) and ‘insight’ (in the TTP)?
My questions are generated by reading FAQ:
(see Sat, 25 Jun 2005)
Ed Says: In TTP, we do not aim for understanding.
We aim to experience our forms, and convert our feelings from adversaries
into allies.
|
Understanding
and insight (AHA) generally flow freely when a k-not unties.
Untying
k-nots is the work of the Tribe and occurs by experiencing forms in a field
of relentless validation.
Trying
to perform this process intellectually typically impedes the process.

Emotions,
Unwilling to Experience
Chief Ed,
My questions are:
0. Do the majority come to the TTP with primary k-nots related to so-called
"negative" feelings/emotions? (examples: feelings of anger,
jealousy, guilt, sadness, frustration, remorse)
1. Does a far smaller minority come to the TTP with primary k-nots related
to so-called "positive" feelings/emotions? (examples: feelings of
joy, peace, love, contentment, satisfaction, calmness)
2. Do some (perhaps many) discover they are indeed stuck via a k-nots on
such "positive" feelings but only after working the more primary,
immediate/surface ("negative") emotional k-nots first? |
A
k-not is a feeling plus a judge that does not like the feeling.
By
nature, k-nots are negative in the sense there is something about
them we do not like.
When
we come to view the positive intention of a k-not, the judgment melts and
the k-not spills.
